This workshop is designed especially for legal, healthcare, and social service providers, educators, and those who work to put an end to human trafficking.

Workshop facilitator: Alice Chiu (Asian Women’s Shelter). Alice Chiu is a long-time anti-violence activist in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has been involved with Asian Women’s Shelter (AWS) since 1999, and her roles include language advocate and case manager/advocate for both survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking. She has also been active in raising awareness on disabilities and the importance of creating access to resources and providing support for survivors with disabilities.

Workshop co-sponsors: Anti Trafficking Collaborative of the Bay Area, San Francisco Department on the Status of Women, and San Francisco Department of Public Health’s Newcomers CONNECT Project.
