Did you know that in August 2017, the President of El Salvador, Salvador Sánchez Cerén, signed an executive order creating the National Commission for the Search of Adults Disappeared in the Context of the Armed Conflict (CONABUSQUEDA)?

For the families of persons forcibly disappeared during the Salvadoran civil war, this is historic and long overdue. The creation of this Commission is the first step towards helping us find truth and reconciliation

– Do you have a relative who was forcibly disappeared during the war?
– Do you want to learn more about CONABUSQUEDA?
– Do you want to learn more about an international campaign, Our Parents’ Bones, which is bringing together relatives of El Salvador’s Disappeared?

At this gathering we will introduce you to our work, provide an overview of CONABUSQUEDA and how it may be a resource to you, and answer any questions you may have.

*Light lunch will be provided
